I love the thrill of getting a new lipstick. Even better if it’s more than one. You know that feeling, I know you do. So, you can imagine my excitement when I received a press package with six, count them six, new lipsticks from Bite Beauty. Sigh. Heaven.
Thanks to hours of Youtube video watching, I’m kind of having a moment with liquid lipsticks lately. Two products that recently entered my universe were NYX Soft Matte Lip Creme in Prague, a bright and bold cool toned pinky berry, and MAC’s liquid lipstick in Dance with Me, a gorgeous deep red. While both are stunning colour wise, I only have one of them in my collection now. One went back to the store. Can you guess which?
You know I’m a bold lipstick lover through and through. But sometimes, I really dig a good nude lipstick. I actually believe that everyone needs to have one in their makeup arsenal. I may *ahem* have one…or two nude lipsticks..okay fine, I have more than four that I use regularly.
Thanks to Maybelline, I’m likely going to add one or two more to my rotation. This January, Maybelline is adding to its Color Sensational family — a nude lipstick collection aptly called The Buffs. The collection features eight bold nude hues, from rich beige to spicy espresso.
I’ve been rediscovering some old favourites in my collection. In this particular case though, I actually forgot I had this. How bad is that? The lipstick in question is Bobbi Brown’s Italian Rose Creamy Lip Color. I have had this for years, and for some reason, have never reviewed it. My bad! It is such a gorgeous lipstick and needs some lovin’.
I adore this type of colour. It’s a pinky nude that is so versatile. I can wear it casually when hanging out with the fam, look polished at the office, or pair it with a smokey eye for an evening out…with the fam 😉 It is not so nude that it makes me look like the living dead. It does the opposite in fact and totally livens up my face.Continue Reading
