Where Have You Been All My Life? MAC Cremesheen Lipstick in Crosswires

For someone who has been addicted to MAC lipstick for about 20 years (yes, I’m that old), I am always a bit surprised to find MAC lipsticks that I haven’t owned at one time or another. For some reason, I have never noticed Crosswires. I’m kind of sad that it took this look for us to be introduced because I am in lurv!

This is one of the most perfect lipstick colours I’ve ever owned. I love corals and pinks and this to me is the best of both worlds! It is one of those lipsticks that I fell in love with as soon as I saw it on my lips – oh yes, come home to mama indeed! More

I’m also a die-hard fan of NARS, and when I heard about its Satin Lip Pencils, I had to investigate.

So investigate I did. I combed blog post after blog post, examining every swatch I could find. I also paid a visit to my local counters and swatched some more. I narrowed it down to two colours: Yu, described as a ‘shocking pink’, and Luxembourg, a gorgeous deep red.

You had me at ‘Coral’, YSL!

If a lipstick has the word ‘Coral’ on it, I am a goner. Sold. Guaranteed. I have not met a coral I didn’t love. And love is a word I have to use (again) in relation to these two new lipsticks* from YSL: Coral Incandescent and Coral In Touch.

Both Rouge Volupte Shines, these have a sheen to them that is pure gorgeousness (I know this is not a word but it seems so appropriate). It feels and looks luxurious.

Mad about Make Up For Ever’s Aqua Rouge

The moment I first put on Make Up For Ever’s Aqua Rouge, I heard the lipstick angels sing. The song? ‘What a Feeling’ from Flashdance. Remember that movie?
