My bouche is amused! (First Impressions: Bite Beauty’s Amuse Bouche)

I love the thrill of getting a new lipstick. Even better if it’s more than one. You know that feeling, I know you do. So, you can imagine my excitement when I received a press package with six, count them six, new lipsticks from Bite Beauty. Sigh. Heaven.LipstickRules 129

The lipsticks are the new Amuse Bouche lipsticks ($30 Canadian). Here’s how the brand describes it on Sephora’s site:

A collection of high-impact lipsticks in dimensional shades that have been handcrafted to deliver extreme moisture, soft texture, and creamy wear.  Created and crafted by hand, Bite’s small batch, low-heat process preserves a balanced blend of lip-quenching nutrients, vitamins, and omega oils that are essential for achieving healthy-looking lips. Made with 12 edible oils and triple milled pigments, this lipstick provides saturated lip color with weightless coverage and a citrus flavor made from fresh pressed fruit.

What it is formulated WITHOUT:
– Parabens
– Sulfates
– Phthalates

I received Beet Root, Black Truffle, Chai, Gazpacho, Honeycomb, and Spritzer. Swatches below.

Gorgeous yes?

I was immediately drawn to the deep dark beet red of Beetroot, and oh my gah, it was love at first swatch. I can’t even. It’s highly pigmented, creamy and everything I could hope for in a colour like this. Here’s a pic I posted on Instagram.

It lasted a long long time, and the pigmentation is out of this world. Love love love.

I’m still trying out the other colours but overall, I’m really impressed! They are worth checking out.

Have you tried Amuse Bouche from Bite Beauty? What colour should I buy next?

These lipsticks are my new loves. I want to toss all my 200 lipsticks and replace with these. I bought black truffle, Chai and Spritzer. I want more 😛

I was excited about these, as I am a huge fan of previous Bite lip prodicts, and purchased Sorbet. However, while the feel is great, the flavor is enough to make me return it! I adore the mintiness of other Bite products, and and am really disturbed by this new, supposedly citrus, flavor….

Hey Janet, thanks for your comment! I can totally understand how a particular scent/flavour can be a turnoff. That’s how I feel about older Dior lipsticks.

Oh, that looks nice on you. I’ve been interested in the Black Truffle, and now I can safely let it go, as I have at least three similar shades, and I don’t do darks often enough to make it a must.
