Sixties Remix – from Bourjois Paris
If I had a chance to travel back in time and pick one era to observe makeup, it would be the 1960s. There’s something about that era that I love. From Jackie O to Marilyn Monroe to Twiggy, makeup from the 1960s had a little bit of everything I love — matte red lipsticks, winged black eyeliner, bright hues on nails, pale nude lips. No surprise to me that I was instantly drawn to Bourjois Paris’ Spring collection*: Sixties Remix.
I love the image from the campaign. The model’s blue shadow paired with black liner and lashes evokes that 1960s vibe but with a very modern feel. I am dying to try this look out.
The collection has everything you need to recreate the 1960s pop-art looks.
There’s a gorgeous pale blue eyeshadow, that you can wear sheer or more intensely by wetting your brush.
There’s also beautiful lip glosses for the perfect pale pout, and eyeliners to help you recreate the perfect cat eye. For nails, there’s gorgeous pastel hues as well as nail art kits which I’m so excited to try.
The collection also includes the Faux & Fabulous false eyelashes and tattoos. They have even released a nifty little tweezer to help you easily apply lashes. This is particularly exciting for someone like me who is still unsure about proper lash application.
All in all, I’m digging this collection.
Stay tuned for my Sixties Remix look.
The collection is available now at Shopper’s Drug Mart and wherever Bourjois is sold in your area of the world.
