All about Orange!
From orange pants to orange purses to orange lipstick, I’m a bit obsessive about the colour orange. There’s just something about the colour that grabs hold of me and I can’t get enough. It’s no wonder that MAC’s latest collection “All About Orange” caught my attention in a big way.
What a juicy collection!
The collection went on sale online last week and a lot of it is already sold out! I’m sure it won’t last long either in-store when the collection goes on sale this Thursday. I’m thinking about placing a call to my local counter to put some stuff on hold…maybe a lipstick, or two, or three…okay four.
Fortunately, I did have an opportunity to preview some pieces from the collectioin: two lipsticks, a nail polish and a blush. I haven’t tested the polish yet but can share my thoughts about the other products.
Sweet & Sour lipstick is a gorgeous peachy shade. On my pigmented lips, it worked more as a nude. To me, I felt I had that 1960s vibe that I wrote about yesterday in my post about Bourjois Paris’ Sixties Remix.
Neon Orange is a lipstick I’ve featured here in the past. I adore this one. It is indeed neon but don’t fear it if you’re unsure about brights. This one can be patted on and can actually be very wearable.
More swatches below:
Honey Jasmine blush is beautiful and is getting a lot of attention. It has peachy undertones that looks so pretty on. I find it highly pigmented so I tap the brush lightly and apply. It works beautifully paired with bronzer.
I’ve been eyeing all the swatches and Instagram photos of the other lipsticks in the collection, and I’m itching to pick up the entire collection. I know I have enough lipstick to last a lifetime, and I don’t need it per se. But, a girl can dream right?
Are you into orange, and will you be picking up anything from All About Orange?
