No Makeup for You!
The other day I paid a visit to my ‘happy place’, otherwise known as Holt Renfrew’s beauty department. I used to be a regular visitor on my lunch breaks, but ever since I started working in the suburbs, my visits lately have been few and far between.
On this fateful day, I planned out my route and a wish list of beauty items that I was open to buying. On my list were NARS Satin Pencils in Yu and Luxembourg, NARS Light Reflecting Pressed Setting Powder, and something from either Chantacaille, Bobbi Brown or Burberry.
First priority was NARS. Full of excitement I asked the sales associate for the three products I was interested in. All sold out. Not expecting this, I lost focus and began wandering around. I stopped at the Chantacaille counter. The associate at this counter was putting on a lip colour that grabbed my attention.
What is that?! I asked.
I wanted it.
But it was not meant to be. It was also sold out.
Dejected, I ended up leaving the happy place.
Maybe Sephora on Bloor would have the NARS products I wanted. No such luck.
Later on in the evening, I ended up at the Bay on Queen, which has a very extensive beauty department. One more shot I thought.
Again, no such luck.
On this day, there were no makeup purchases for this beauty addict. Maybe it was a sign from the makeup gods.
No makeup for you.
At least on this day
