Lipstick Diary: YSL Rouge Pur Couture Golden Lustre #114
Yves Saint Laurent lipsticks are a weakness of mine. I can’t help it. From the packaging to the product, YSL lipsticks have never let me down. Lately, I’ve been enamoured with the YSL Rouge Pur Couture Golden Lustre in Rose de Saba* (#114). Part of the reason is the colour. It is unlike most colours you see me sporting on this blog.
It’s good to mix it up, right?
The lipstick is part of YSL’s Summer 2013 collection. As a Rouge Pur Couture, the lipstick offers great coverage and pigmentation, yet feels lightweight and moisturizing on the lips. The Golden Lustres also include a super fine golden shimmer, adding that extra zing to the colour. Seriously, gorgeous.
Rose de Saba is a beautiful mauve rose. I was initially afraid it would lean a tad too cool for my skintone but the golden shimmer makes it work beautifully. When the light hits the lips, it is simply glorious (at least I think so.
It looks fab paired with bronzer and a hint of pink on the cheeks. For me, it’s a perfect colour to wear to the office.
The lipstick and the YSL Summer 2013 collection are available now at your local YSL counter.
