Maybelline Color Whisper: Swatches
Be still my beating heart. That is what I thought when I first set eyes on Maybelline’s new Color Whispers.* These lipsticks have just arrived in Canada…and in this lipstick junkie’s hands. Can I hear a woot, woot?!
The lipsticks seem to be the talk of the beauty community. They are Maybelline’s answer to the lip balm/gloss/lipstick hybrids that are cropping up everywhere, from Revlon Lip Butters to Rouge Coco Shines. I am a big, big fan of these hybrid lipsticks so these are right up my alley. I could collect them all…and I think I’m well on my way. 
According to Maybelline, these are: ‘pure color pigments suspended in a weightless gel. No heavy waxes or oils. Soft, sexy gel-color.’
Sounds divine, yes? Since I just received these over the weekend, I don’t have a verdict just yet. For now, here are a few photos and swatches.
I love the cute little container that came as part of the press kit. I might just keep them in there permanently. It keeps everything so organized!
Once you lift the covers of the tubes, you see the beautiful colours. Sigh.
(Top row, left to right): Cherry on Top, One Size Fits Pearl, Petal Rebel
(Middle row, left to right): Berry Ready, Plum Prospect, Who wore it Red-er?, Orange Attitude
(Bottom row, left to right): Lust for Blush, Pin-Up Peach, Coral Ambition
And, below are the swatches. There are a few that are calling out my name. Can you guess which ones?
The Maybelline Color Whispers are gorgeous. I can’t wait to try them on my lips!

These are soooo beautiful Michelle. I looked for them at Loblaws yesterday and of course couldn’t find them. Ottawa’s always behind :/

I saw them yesterday but was afraid they would be too pigmented! Seems I was quite wrong. Who wore it Red-er and Pin-Up Peach are calling out to me!

I love these Michelle! I think I instagramed them? I have lust for blush and pin up peach, both of which I have been wearing to work during the week. They are so easy! No need for a mirror. I love the fruity scent too, very intoxicating but not overly sweet for me. I want more!

holy cow, those look heavenly and beautiful in that box!!! this is the first i’ve heard of them (HOW is this possible?), but you betcha i’m going to go out pronto to see if they’re on the shelves here in GA! can’t wait to hear what you’ve got to say about them.

I recently bought the berry ready, more pink than I thought but I mix it with a darker plum color from nars. Just wish it stayed longer.. It keeps staining every cup I drink from :/
