Random Thoughts About…Ombre Hair and Candles
Ever get fixated on something so much it is all you can think about — and can’t stop thinking about – until you have it, or done it? I guess that is called obsession. I have this tendency and the two things that have been on my mind lately are: ombre hair and candles. Random, I know.
First, let’s talk about hair. I don’t do anything crazy or different with my hair ever. It has been long with layers for many many years. Getting a fringe was the most recent ‘daring’ thing I’ve done. Since then, I’ve been thinking about colour, particularly ombre. I love the look. For the past month I have been examining every picture available it seems of ombre hair particularly on Asians. And finally yesterday I decided to take the plunge. I won’t show you a pic yet though but for now, here were two inspirational photos.
What I like about the look is that it can be a subtle or intense as you like, and fairly easy to maintain (no roots!). I love how mine turned out and is exactly the change I’ve been craving.p
Okay, now on to candles. A few weeks ago, I bought some mini candles from Bath and Body Works. I love how cozy the house feels with candles lit and the gentle scents they give off. Since the initial purchase, I’ve been researching candle varieties and hauled more this weekend. Gotta love the 2 for $25 promotion for three wick candles (in the U.S. it’s even better at 2 for $20). I picked up Snowed In and Sparkling Icicles. I also got another candle called French Baguette for 50% off. This one is amazing. I have it burning now and my house smells like fresh baked bread. My style of baking usually involves going to a bakery and buying bread so the smell of fresh baked bread is an unfamiliar scent in my house. What a treat!
So tell me, what have you been obsessing about? Any thoughts about candles or ombre hair?

You took the plunge and ombre’d too! I just had mine done about a week ago after thinking about it for months and I’m loving the change. It’s subtle while still feeling different not to mention it’s totally low maintenance! The only problem is my ends are very dry now. Have you found any good hair masques or products to combat this? I was obsessively buying candles a few months ago and so far the Ecoya Sweet Pea candle is one of my faves.

Oh I’d love to see yours! My ends so far feel okay though it’s only been a couple of days. I will let you know if I hear of any hair masques! As for candles, I’m not familiar with Ecoya…where do you get this? Must investigate!
