A Little Bit of Philosophy
Aside from my purchase of “Hope in a Jar” years ago when Oprah named it one of her favourite things, Philosophy is a brand I haven’t paid much attention to in recent times. I kick myself for not looking a little closer sooner. I’m in love. Truly.
A few weeks ago, my buddy Susan and I hung out at the Philosophy counter at the Bay with Philosophy’s Robin White, a super awesome lady who probably has one of the best jobs ever. Robin knows everything there is to know about Philosophy and its products, and is also very well-versed in skincare. During our session with Robin, we talked abut turning 40 (eek!), and our specific concerns about our skin. We talked about our current routines and then Robin suggested products that might work for our needs.
One product was Purity Made Simple One-Step Facial Cleanser. If you Google this or search on YouTube, you will see that it is a well-loved product. I can totally see why. It is ah-mazing. Life-changing even. It is light in texture, smells so nice but best of all, it really removes everything including the most stubborn makeup. No additional makeup remover needed! I follow it up with Hope in a Jar moisturizer, the oil-free version, and voila, my skin is soft and supple. Love, love, love. To be sure of this declaration, I tested this out for the last three weeks and each day I’ve been amazed at how well this cleanser works.
All I can say is, I’m a total Philosophy convert.
Have you used anything from Philosophy?

I rarely repurchase cleansers … But I’ve repurchased this at least 3-4 times. So gentle but effective. glad you love it too

I found this one drying the last time I tried it, but my skin is so different now I bet I can tolerate it! I should get a sample!

I have this in my arsenal now and I am afraid I find it totally disappointing. I find it does not remove any makeup at all. I’m just trying to use it all up because I’ve already unsuccessfully tried to give it away:(

I really love Purity. I only bought the deluxe size from Sephora one time to try it out and I’m so glad I did. Once I’m finished with it I’ll be getting a bigger size

I wanted to love this cleanser but my skin seems to be allergic to something in it, and I gave away a full bottle to avoid further rash and irritation.
However, I love Philosophy’s yummy scented lip glosses as well as Miracle Worker/Hope in a Jar moisturizers.

That’s too bad. I haven’t tried the glosses but I am enjoying Hope in a Jar oil-free.
