The Two Sides of NYC’s The Rock A Fellas Lipstick
There are two sides to NYC’s The Rock A Fellas lipstick. Literally. The lipstick is 2-in-1 lip colour with one side featuring a light coral pink and the other a brighter and bold coral pink. You can even mix the two to create a third colour. Guess which side I liked best?
I like the versatility of a 2-in-1 lipstick. It makes it convenient for packing and it’s actually quite economical to get such variety in one tube. The NYC 2-in-1s are priced under $5, which is definitely a bargain if you’re looking for one.
I haven’t tried any lipsticks in this price point before and I found both positive and negative points.
On the negative side, it smells like cheap makeup you played with as a kid, almost like plastic.
As for application, this does not apply that smoothly. It goes on kind of streaky at first. You have to swipe a few times to get this on evenly.
If you can get past these two things, you will find its saving grace. The colour. Very very beautiful. When I put on the brighter side, I was in love with how the colour added such brightness to my face.
I’m thinking this might be a lipstick to try if you want to venture into brighter lipsticks and don’t want to pay big bucks.
How do you feel about price points and makeup?

Huh! That’s kinda cool! It’d be perfect for back to school for sure!

I could care less about price and label, as long as it performs!! But the cheap smell, girl, I can’t get past that one personally. It sure is pretty on you though. But find me a cheap lippie with no scent that looks that good, I’m in! Good advice for someone who wants to experiment with a brighter look but doesn’t want to chunk down the cash.

I agree with JennySue – price is irrelevant if it works! This is a really cool idea though, hopefully it works out.
