The Lipstick I Wore Today…and This Girl is Going into the Wilderness…Sort of
Hello friends, long time no blog! I have missed you and hope to be back into the swing of things again very soon. In the meantime, I wanted to share a hidden gem of a lipstick from my personal stash, Joe Fresh in Watermelon. (Previous review here)
It’s so bright, so pink and oh so nice. It was the perfect pop of colour to my otherwise simple black & white ensemble today. I forgot how nice this lipstick is. It looks matte but feels moisturizing and smooth to apply. Best of all is its price point at under $10 Canadian.
For those outside of Canada who might have not heard of Joe Fresh, it is a line of clothing and makeup available via Canadian grocery chain Loblaws. Joe Fresh was founded by the same gentleman who started Club Monaco. It is fashionable but won’t break the bank. When I shop at Loblaws, I often get distracted by the Joe Fresh clothes and forget to check out the makeup. Case in point is this simple sheer black blouse I just got for $19. But finding this lipstick again makes me want to run to the store to swatch, swatch, swatch!
Alas, there is no shopping in my horizon at least this weekend. Instead, I will be venturing to the land of the moose, well, Algonquin Park.
The great Canadian outdoors. No, I am not a camper. Far, far from it. City girl at heart here. When planning this trip with my family, this in all honesty is what ran through my head: will-black-flies-attracted-to-my-black-maxi-dress- can-I-wear-a-black-maxi-dress-do-I-need-new-sandals-and-good-god-what-makeup-shall-I-pack? 
Seriously though, I am looking forward to spending time with my family and decompressing for a few days. And don’t you worry, there will be some form of makeup testing while enjoying the fresh air. I’ll be bringing the new Maybelline BB Cream and my new favorite gloss, the CoverFX Lip Mint Tint FX (review to come!).

Haha I am not a camping person myself. I would have had the same thought process on what to wear and pack
Watermelon is a lovely colour! I have the Strawberry shade and love it but it doesn’t get enough wear unfortunately.

Sadly I don’t think I have access to Joe Fresh near me, but this punchy color sure does look fab on you friend!! Hope you had fun in the wilderness…man you’re brave:)
