YSL Forever Youth Liberator – One Week In
I’m always a bit nervous when trying out new skincare. In fact, I tend to brace myself for a negative reaction. In the past, new skincare has resulted in hives, rashes and other skin irritations. As a result, I’ve become very, very loyal to the products that do work for me. As you can imagine, trying out YSL’s Forever Youth Liberator products was definitely a leap of faith. (If you missed my first post post about my experiment with YSL, click here.)
For about a week now, I’ve been testing out Forever Youth Liberator serum, eye cream and day cream.
The Serum is my favorite so far. I use before moisturizer in the morning and at night. While it looks rich, it doesn’t feel thick or heavy and absorbs into the skin easily without any greasy residue. After it’s on, my skin feels supple to the touch.

Morning and night, I pat the eye cream around my under eye area. This was the part that made me extra nervous. I’ve had terrible reactions to eye creams in the past. Terrible. For instance, I’ve had creams that literally dried out my under eye area resulting in lines that weren’t there before! With this product, YSL has delivered and I am at peace. This eye cream is working for me. It doesn’t feel greasy nor does it feel heavy.
Finally, there’s the day cream. It has an SPF of 15 which is a bonus, and like the two other products I’ve described, it’s light but feels very moisturizing. My skin feels amazing after I put it on, and it works beautifully under makeup.
Overall prognosis? I’m pleasantly surprised. I’m pleased with how the products apply, and how my face feels after application. I can say that while it may be not apparent in pictures above, my skin does feel smoother. Now, is that because there’s an actual change or just wishful thinking? I’m not sure to be honest. It will be interesting to see after three weeks.
How often do you switch out your skincare?

Your skin totally looks different! It is plumper and smoother in texture, as far as I can tell! The eye area has definitely gotten a boost.
Looks good mama!

I’ve seen your first post about this article. When I got back on this to see the effects after day 2, wow! there’s been a great improvement. The product works on surprisingly. Nice! =)

I DO SEE THE DIFFERENCE! You look GREAT! I really can’t wait to see how it works 3 weeks from now! I do add new things to my skincare often enough, but normally I prefer to do it one thing at a time. My skin isn’t SUPER sensitive, but I’ve found that my cheeks don’t take acid too well (though my T-zone does like and need some).

I’m currently using the night creme (well the one sans spf) and the serum, the serum is by far the one that steals the show!
I was using it for a couple of weeks, then stopped for a while (the same time my skin went completely nuts) and now I’m using it again! My skin feels definitely smoother and much more even, and I don’t think it’s a placebo effect!

Your skin looks more even and more plumped, great improvement for only one week of treatment!
I like to try new things once in a while, I’ve changed my toner 4 times this year and my sunscreen 2 times. But I found a great night cream that I dont plan to switch, its my second jar already, its the Hydra C gel from Marcelle and I love how lightweight it is
