The Case of the Missing Blogger…and a New “Old” Favorite Lip Combo from NARS
Oh where, oh where has the little blogger gone, oh where, or where can she be? Well, my friends, I have had a case of blogger…laziness. Maybe it’s the fact that I don’t have a laptop right now and I have to blog from a home computer. My blogging style usually involves sitting on the couch, with a glass of wine sometimes, with the TV in the background. Sitting in our home “office” doesn’t inspire me as much.
What has inspired me is a lip combo that I can’t stop wearing. It’s an oldie but goodie: NARS Pop Life Velvet Matte Pencil and Babe lipgloss. There’s something about this combo that brings me to a happy place when I wear it.
Each has a reddish orange tone, very on trend right now. They can each be worn alone as well and look fab. Worn together, it’s a match made in heaven. Below is Pop Life alone.
Babe lipgloss good too but on my pigmented lips, it’s not that exciting. But Babe on top of Pop Life? Sigh…It takes the colours to a whole new level. No joke. I lurv.
Since testing out the MAC Russian Red Fashion Set a few weeks ago, I’ve started to layer lip products again. I have been pairing lipstick with gloss, and sometimes lipstick, liner AND gloss. Maybe that’s what’s been keeping me away too – all the experimentation!
It’s fun. I can’t deny it. And that’s what it’s all about right?

There’s something about orange lips that is all the rave this season. I’ve stopped buying Nars lipglosses – find their scent too strange for my liking. But I do like the shade you’re wearing.

I agree- they do have a plastic smell don’t they? I wish they would change that as I love many of the colours.

This combo is perfect! I started layering products recently. Mainly blush because I’m not reapplying it constantly. But I did find a couple fun combinations of gloss over Sonia Kashuk Lip Crayons. One of them is in the works for a post

Ooo I love how you layered the gloss over the lip pencil! I’m not too big on matte lipsticks yet, so the lipgloss is definitely a nice finishing touch!

I have these same items in my make up kit. I did tried the combos and it worked on me. It gave my natural lip color a zest of life. Two thumbs up!
