QOTD: What is your signature look?
While bold & bright seem to be part of my makeup vocabulary lately, the majority of the time I like to keep it nice and simple with my makeup. This is the makeup combination I turn to most often. Call it a signature look if you will.
For me, a signature looks makes me feel like me still but enhanced.
It’s makeup I reach for on the days I’m too tired or lazy to think about what to put on my face. There’s no need to find eyeshadows for the crease or inner tear duct, nor highlighter for the cheekbones and bronzer to contour. For me, this is the slap-it-on-but-look-put-together kind of look.
I went with my signature look today: black gel liner, pinky/peach or pinky/mauve blush, neutral lip colour, and mascara.
For my signature look, the colours are always on the neutral side and there is almost always black gel liner involved. Lipstick is more muted like a pink or a peach but not nude or else I end up looking like a zombie from the Walking Dead.
Here’s a product run-down in case you were interested:
Foundation: MUFE Primer, HD Foundation #127
Blush: Benefit Hervana (review to come!)
Eyeshadow: BootyCall from UD Naked 2
Mascara: MUFE Smokey Lash
Gel liner: MAC Blacktrack
Lipstick: Chanel Mademoiselle
Over to you, what is your signature look?

To be honest, I really don’t know what my signature look is.
I think if I *had* to choose, I’d probably go with a really neutral look – which is pretty surprising for me, haha!

I love the natural look! I would say that’s my signature look during the week. On weekends, I love wearing more of my makeup! Either smokey eyes, or bright lips

Thanks! I tend to wear more makeup at work…and use more when I’m doing blog ‘research’

My usual look is BB Cream, brown pencil liner, mascara, and lip balm. I don’t wear a lot when I’m not doing blog posts!

My everyday look consists of a natural look on the eyes, and maybe a nude or bold lip..pinks, reds, orange….I love lipstick, so I am constantly looking for new colors.
I love a good contour and highlight! I am obsessed with MAC Face & Body foundation I use that everyday!
Great Blog! Totally following you!

If I’m in the office I barely wear anything – some concealer or a light foundation (Clinique Even Better Makeup – 01 Alabaster or MAC Select Cover Up – NW 20) with a little powder (MAC Blot – Light or Estee Lauder Lucidity Loose Powder – Transparent), blush (NARS Deep Throat or Angelika in the winter, NARS Cactus Flower or Bobbi Brown Nectar in the summer), some rosy lip stuff (Revlon Colorburst Lipstick – Soft Rose, Chanel Rouge Coco – Mademoiselle, MAC Lustre Lipstick – Sweetie or Plumful just to name a few, topped off with Chanel Glossimer – Wild Rose or Mica), so just 4 products or so daily.
Sometimes if I have an extra 2-3 minutes, I’ll add a wash of highlighter on the eyelid/brow bone & cheekbones (Bobbi Brown Shimmerbrick – Pink in winter, Dior Skinshimmer – Ambre Diamant in summer) with a simple gel liner (MAC Fluidline – Blitz & Glitz or Macroviolet).
I’ll switch up my lipstick to something more corally in the summer or something like that, but my office look is very boring – I work in market analysis for an IT startup so everyone is pretty laid back and dressed down. If I wear makeup they’ll ask me where I’m going that night, lol!

Mine is pink lipstick (usually YSL or MAC), black winged eyeliner and mascara and pink blush.

I wear a full face every day. For me, that means tinted moisturizer, undereye concealer, spot concealer as needed, powder on the t-zone, blush, two eyeshadows (highlight and lid color – for daytime I usually keep the lid color light, but I sometimes go darker in the evening), eyeliner on the bottom and outer third of the top (neutral for day usually, colors are for evening), curled lashes, mascara on top and bottom, clear brow gel, lip balm as needed, and lip color. It sounds like a lot, but I apply it all very naturally and I’m really not comfortable without the complete look.
I always stick to light-to-medium lip colors — never dark or bright, not even at night. For nighttime, I prefer to intensify my eyes, not my lips. Loud lips just aren’t for me. I’ve experimented with them plenty in the past before coming to this conclusion, so it’s not that I’m deprived or uneducated when it comes to makeup, it’s just a personal preference

Thanks Kristin, sometimes people don’t think I’m wearing makeup when in fact I’ve got several layers on
This look sounds great!
