Let’s Talk about Naked…Naked 2 from Urban Decay
Not long ago, I declared Urban Decay’s Naked palette as the one palette to rule them all. I take it back. Urban Decay’s newly released Naked Palette 2 has risen to the throne, and this makeup junkie is once again, for a lack of better description, in LOVE.Yes sirree. This is a keeper.
I resisted and resisted the urge to get it but using the excuse of my 40th birthday, this palette landed in my online shopping basket on the Sephora site.
And when it arrived in the mail, I was giddy like a schoolgirl. It is that beautiful.
Overall, there’s not much I can say about this palette that hasn’t been said already, nor will more swatches of this palette yield any new insights.
All I can say is this palette is a winner, from its metal packaging to its inclusion of a makeup brush. The shadows in this palette are more cool-toned than those contained within Naked Palette, yet somehow they just work for my skintone. I find the shadows to be even better in texture and tone than the first palette. My favorites so far are Pistol, Bootycall, and Snakebite but seriously I love all the shadows. My one gripe? It’s the appearance of Half-Baked in both palettes, which I don’t understand. I adore this colour but couldn’t they find another to put into this otherwise gem of a sequel?
I think owning both Naked 1 and 2 will give you all the eyeshadows you’ll ever need in a lifetime.
It makes me think I should just toss/giveaway/sell all my other eyeshadows….but…what fun would that be? I am, after all, a makeup junkie.
In all seriousness, Naked Palette 2 in my eyes is a must-have if you love neutrals. You won’t be disappointed.

I wish Smog was the double shade – that’s my favorite, and the one that I’m most likely to use up. I’ve held out so far against Naked2, but it’s just so pretty! I have a feeling I’ll buy it eventually.

That would have been a great colour! I find the palette so versatile. It took me forever to get the first palette and surprised myself how fast I jumped at this one.

lol, I literally just did a post on the same palette! I love my Naked 2, much more than Naked 1 (which I also like). Tease and Verve are my fave shades in it. I don’t really like the highlighter though, it’s too yellow toned for my skin

WORST!! Just when I though I’d convinced myself I didn’t need 2, here you come with this amazing review. Eeeeeeeek! I have to say I really love half baked and its by far the most used in my palette so don’t mind the repeat. You’re right though, these new shades look slightly more wearable… I haven’t touched Gunmetal, Creep or Sin at all. Chopper looks amazing and I like the addition of a matte highlight colour. May need to stop by Sephora this weekend for a little swatchy swatch…

I love mine as well! I think it’s a great palette. Pistol is my FAVE. I’ve been wearing it a lot. It’s one of those shades that looks good on it’s own and you know how much this lazy beauty junkie adores one shadow looks!
I’m glad you love it as much as I do!

Hmm, it does look cooler-toned overall than Naked 1, which tempts me a little. I’m generally not a palette person as I’d prefer to just own the exact shades that I think are right for me, but this one looks like most of the colors would work. Still probably won’t take the plunge, though.

This is such a wonderful palette. Now I am a proud owner of both and makes me feel so fresh when I look at them. However I feel Busted is the best eyeshadow I have ever seen and so is Hustle. Simply amazing
