So-called Brilliant ideas…and a Teeny Review

Ever have what you think is a brilliant idea for a post and then….forget the idea? Ever take what you think are great pictures and then…forget what makeup you wore in the pictures? Well, my friends, this has happened to me. A lot. Yikes!

So today, I’ve been going through photos trying to remember what these so-called brilliant ideas were and jot them down. Alas, not helpful. So I decided to make do and just go with the flow. Ready?

So while this is by no means brilliant or exciting, I thought I’d share my renewed love for my one and only Chantacaille Lip Chic in Zinnia (previously reviewed here). When I bought this one year ago, it felt like an innovative product. It is like a lip-balm/gloss with a hint of colour. Zinnia looks like raspberry in the tube but is subtle on the lips. It is one of my go-to lippies lately because I love how moist my lips feel and look with this on. For me it is the perfect texture to combat the cold winter air.  Below is a blog face montage with the lip colour on. I think it’s very natural looking overall.

Though I love this product I doubt I’ll pick any more up as I think there are now comparable, and cheaper, versions on the market. Hello Revlon Lip Butters! But that’s for another day.

See? Nothing earth-shattering. A bit of rambling and a teeny weeny review.

Who’s excited for Friday?

Michelle

P.S. Today is my 40th birthday! I’ve decided to embrace it wholeheartedly just like I did my 30′s. Woot woot!
