It’s Okay If It Gets Stuck in My Hair: MAC’s Lychee Luxe
I have a love-hate relationship with MAC lipglasses. I love some of the colours – I hate the stickiness and thick texture. A Twitter conversation with @RemaGouyez the other day did remind me I had a gem of a lipglass in my collection: MAC”s Lychee Luxe.
It’s peachy pink, almost watermelon-like with golden shimmers. I bought it a couple of years ago thanks to a recommendation by Karen of Makeup and Beauty blog. I don’t reach for it as often as I like because of the texture but maybe I’ll get over it.
What I love about it is its versatility. You can wear it with both intense/smokey eye makeup or understated “I’m going to run errands” looks. Since purchasing it, I’ve written about how Lychee Luxe also looks great worn underneath lipsticks or lip liners. It’s simply beautiful.
So yes, I do hate how my hair sticks to my lips when I wear lipglasses but heck, at least my lips look luscious right?

I think I have this one! I don’t think I have a favourite MAC Lipglass though. I like the Annabelle ones and I have a Chanel one I love.

man, i wish i had seen this before i just made my mac pro purchase online this morning, bc i looked at this color, but went for another one that was lilac instead-pooh!!! this does look beautiful on you though, and i agree, the sticky factor sucks, but is so worth it when it looks that good.
i usually plan ahead and just wear a ponytail for days i wear mac lipglass;-)

You should try MAC’s Lustreglass formula. Its consistency is a little thinner, but still lasts and has good colour payoff. Wonderstruck and Love Nectar are two of my favs.

Such a pretty color on you! I have to agree, the formula is too sticky and I end up rarely using my lipglasses because of it. My all time favorite original lipglass formula shade would probably be Strange Potion- it’s such a great peachy shade!
