Behold one of my favorite lipsticks…
The lighting is bad and it sure doesn’t look pretty right now but this my friends, is one of my all-time favorite lipsticks – Revlon Colorburst in Soft Rose.
No, it didn’t go through the wash or lay out in the sun or heat. I think it’s a victim of how I apply my lipstick. You see, I’ve noticed that the lipsticks I wear regularly all start to lean ever so slightly, brushing up against the tube as you move the product up and down.

I don’t think I use a heavy hand when I apply lipstick but maybe I do. Or maybe it’s the angle. Nevertheless, this is how it eventually affected poor old Soft Rose, which is really a beautiful neutral pink. It really is.
Perhaps I should toss it and get another? Nah, it’s still usable — and still beautiful on.
How about you – do your lipsticks take on a shape based on how you apply?
P.S. My apologies if the photos are a bit gross looking. Don’t mean to offend

haha, i think everyone’s lipsticks may lean that way after common use.. mine haven’t been given enough love to warrant that sort of result but.. i shall go & look at mine just in case ^___^ haha, if it’s still good, nothing wrong with continuing to use it, unless you’re worried about what other ppl think, tho idk why ppl would want to pay that close attention to the condition of your lipstick, it doesn’t even look that bad!

mine start to lean over a bit too, and I get a dip in the top from application. Oooops. I have always eyed off that colour at Revlon, I shall have to eye it off some more!

Mine do start to lean a bit as well, although none of them look quite that bad at the moment. I had an Urban Decay one that broke completely off at the base one time. It was a really sheer pink (Lovechild) and i think I abused it a lot trying to layer it on!

Mine definitely end up on more of an angle whereas I know my Mum always makes them flat. I’ve caused them to have grooves before when the lipstick rocks about in the base. I think you should continue to use it, I think a based up lipstick is a sign of a true lipstick lover

you are so funny- i’m always appalled by the way my lipsticks turn out as well- usually half rounded and flat on one side!! i must try this revlon color out bc if it’s that perfect for you the lipstick queen, it would be good enough for me!
