12 Days of Lipstick: Maybelline’s Plum Jewel
I thought I’d share 12 lipsticks that are currently rocking my world. Some you’ve seen before, some you haven’t. Today, it’s Maybelline ColorSensational in Plum Jewel, previously swatched here. I didn’t think it was that bright until I got to work but it is…in a good way. I love it. The lighting in the a.m. isn’t cooperating with me so there’s no new full frontal shot of da lips. The photo below is the best I can do. If you’re looking for a rich plum with fuchsia undertones with lots of shine, this is your lipstick. Trust me.
On another note, I’m sorry for missing in action. I had posts planned about cool new lip balms, amazing bath products and a truly awesome makeup exchange with Modesty Brown. These are coming soon.
For now, I thought I’d share what has been distracting this beauty blogger.
My husband and I are watching the trilogy all over again, and I have to say I am enjoying every bit of it again. Every bit.

I want to watch the LOTR trilogy again. I’ve only seen it once; it was a 4 day marathon and I fell in love with Aragorn and dreamy Legolas. *sigh*

Looove Plum Jewel! It’s pretty much the exact shade as one of my glasses so I enjoy wearing the pair – it makes a pretty fun statement!
My brother and I have an LOTR marathon every year… It’s funny because I’m always reminded of how much I’ve “grown” or “matured” because when I first watched the films, I was all about Legolas. But these days I find myself to be more drawn to Aragorn :p.
