Over the holidays I rediscovered my love of bright lips. One of my faves is the YSL Rouge Volupte in Pink Caress which is a super bright blue-based pink. I wore this quite a bit and plan to do a post on it as part of a FOTD.
What I love most about bright lips -- or statement lips -- is that it adds instant brightness to the face. It makes it easy from a makeup perspective as well. I think if you have a bright lip on the rest of your face can be more minimal with the rest of your makeup. A little mascara, neutral eyes, subtle blush and a bright lip and voila you are done!
Today is Day 3 of 50 Days of Lipstick and I chose a bright colour today -- Most Popular by MAC. This was part of the Hello Kitty Collection. The colour is a bright raspberry pink. Overall I like the pigmentation of the lipstick but find it a bit drying. I would probably pair with a gloss next time. I think this one is a keeper as well.
What do you think of bright lips?

I love this series. I need to join you because lip products are the thing that I use the least in my makeup collection. Can't wait to see what other lippies you have coming up.
I love bright lips - in theory. I am particularly drawn to bright fuchsias and bold reds. I have a few lipsticks and glosses in these shades but I find I'm a bit timid to wear them out because they're so bold! I know I should just do it, and perhaps I will in the near future.
I definitely love bright lips and I really like Most Popular on you! I remember skipping it because I thought it might be too cool-toned but I can clearly see it isn't at all - gorgeous raspberry! I am not a huge huge fan of most of MAC's lipstick formulas though, so I agree totally on the drying aspect. Even their lustres are drying for me.
I love it sweetie!!!! I looooooove lippies! I think I posted a pic of all of them, I doubt my collection is as large as yours!
I'm liking this whole 50 day thing!! So exciting!!!
I love it, I think bold lips looks great on you! xxx
The berry color would truely compliment asian skintones imo. Looks gawjus! I need to try some berry colors as I have none
I'm a fan of bright lips but I don't wear them nearly enough. I think I may follow your example and hit the brights.

Bright lips are great but like you, I would never pair that with too much colour on the eyes. :)
I love a bright lip; it's such a quick way to brighten up the face. I do like the berry shades on you, very pretty and flattering.
