Unsung Hero: MAC’s Jest eyeshadow

I love eyeshadows that can be worn on their own as a wash of colour. Don’t get me wrong – I love using crease and highlight colours. But for busy or lazy days, I love working with one eyeshadow, some gel liner and mascara. One colour that works amazingly well for me is a MAC shadow called Jest. It is a peachy pink colour with a hint of shimmer. The finish is Frost but it’s not over the top and not inappropriate for a woman in her 30s like me. For my younger readers, you need not fear this one either.

Jest is a beauty on its own but can also be paired with just about anything, from greys to browns. I’ve worn it with Satin Taupe or Woodwinked and the effect is very pretty. Most of the time though, I usually wear it on its own with winged black liner and mascara — that’s it. An easy sophisticated look.

Here are pics — it is a lighter in person with a lot of depth to the colour. If you haven’t seen it, check it out next time you visit a MAC counter.
