So dear readers, I'm on a mission to revamp my wardrobe by accessorizing and adding a few more interesting pieces. For inspiration, I've turned to friends to provide insights/tips and tricks (hello Nina!) so I know what can work or not work...and online I've found some fantastic style/fashion blogs.
Here are a couple that I just discovered today and LOVE. I spent the afternoon catching up on all their posts. Check them out -- I'm sure you will agree!
What about you -- are you a fashionista? Do you follow fashion blogs and if so, do you have any favorites to share?

Oh I wish I could keep up with makeup and fashion both hehe but I do tend to ocassionally look for fashion bargains for less to make sure I dont look out of date :D And you're so correct, my wardrobe was black overkill too however I have started trying a lot of colors recently and they brighten up my look completely :)
You are so sweet! Thank you so much for the love, I can't tell you how much this post means to me! Veronika and Anh are my buds too (and amazing ladies) so it's extra sweet that you discovered us all at once. Your blog is fabulous also, thanks for all the great posts!! xxoo
@Shifa: I think that's mainly what I need in my wardrobe -- just a bit more colour and some 'texture' ;-)
@Andi: Thanks for stopping by! I appreciate you checking my site out. I found you first then found the others through your links :-) You are all amazing writers, and of course have great style! Can't wait to read more from you. And thank you for reading mine! xx
thank you so much for the shout-out :) I am loving your blog as well! xoxo, veronika!
totally happened to me the past few months. Last week I acrually decided to look for basics that I can layer with anything. I bought a really affordable boyfriend jacket at h&m for 30 bucks!! they are actually good quality, you should check them out!
Heeheehee. I'm definitely not a fashionista but I wish I were!! I think I dress pretty well, and I'm actually told quite frequently that I dress nicely (usually unfortunately with the addendum "for a girl in engineering" LOL) but there is a long list of staple pieces I wish I had (belts, for example - I have one, and it has a bunny on it LOL). I'm trying to learn how to take OOTD pictures - they're really hard! Way harder than FOTD pictures!
I'm with you though, as far as makeup v. wardrobe. I have to admit, many days I pick my makeup first and then my clothes (though it's usually just a question of warm/neutral/cool LOL)!
Thanks so much for posting your fav fashion blogs! I'm going to ck them out and hopefully get some fashion tips.xo T

I have more clothes then makeup. lol. I've been trying to expand my makeup collection. But I've been known to be the best sale finder for clothes and I don't spend more then 15 minutes in a store unless I'm in the change room. & I don't like to spend more than $20 for an item.. :s
You know- I don't consider myself a fashionista, but I love clothes, think I have a great style and have TONS of them, but seriously, if we're being honest- would rather dress down than get all glammed up and uncomfortable. I dunno- I just love the feeling of taking my work clothes off at the end of the day- or my going-out clothes.
That being said, I've definitely tried to dress up more for work- getting ideas from blogs lately :-)
I love love love Jessica Schroeder's sense of style. She posts a pic daily of her outfit and hardly ever disappoints. She's not OTT but also not boring. Spreading the love: http://whatiwore.tumblr.com
Turquoise Jewelry! It was voted color or the year by Pantone. I suggest not using it with black, but rather with other colors! Bright and vibrant isn't just for summer.
