Rediscovered: Body Shop Shimmer Cubes Palette #7
I shoppped my stash this week (hooray!) and came across this palette from the Body Shop that I forgot I had! This is the Body Shop’s Shimmer Cubes Palette #7 – and I’m so glad I found it again.
This palette is absolutely gorgeous — featuring a bronze, a peachy/pink, a silver, and very dark dark purple with black undertones. These are all smooth, pigmented and very wearable colours. I love wearing the darkest colour as a crease colour and in the outer V. These can be applied sheer or you can layer to build the intensity. I do like to wear this with a base like Too Faced Shadow Insurance or Pandora Makeup Box’s Eye Primer to help it stay put all day. One negative though. While I think the cubes are an interesting concept, it is a pain to have to take off the plastic caps each time you need to use a colour. Guess I should just take them off.
All in all though, I am enjoying wearing the colours in this palette. In fact, I might have to pay a visit to the Body Shop in the near future to check out the other Shimmer Cubes.
What about you? Have you tried the Body Shop Shimmer Cubes? Love? Hate? Suggestions?

I love these but I'm not a fan of the packaging. It's adorable but a bit tedious to use! First opening the palette, then each individual color. Tends to go unloved in my stash for that reason. Gorgeous though.

I once swatched these when I was in Australia and they seemed super smooth but obviously not having a Body Shop here, can't buy any! LOL This one's super pretty, I can see you working it =)

I love the Shimmer Cubes! I wish they came in more colors. I only have 06 which is the golds one, but I do love it. I don't use it very often… actually, but on the go, it is absolutely fabulous especially since they're the only eyeshadows I find I can apply and blend beautifully just with my fingers.
For the packaging, I took all the caps off the individual shadows and stuck two of them on the backs diagonally. They crack a little but that way the shadows are basically stuck and it functions like a regular palette.

I own these way back when I wasn't blogging yet and these babies are gorgeous adn super pigmented, aside from the weird cube packaging it is super difficult to finish up!!!!

I have the Shimmer Cubes in 06 –> 3 different shades of brown with a light pink highlighter. I wear them almost every day. Very blendable. I'd like to try the palette you've reviewed, but I have similar shades already … except the dark purple one, which is a shade I've been trying to find FOREVER. Anyone have any suggestions for where I could find the dark purple shade?

I haven't got these but I'm sure loving the shade that's on the top left-hand corner in the palette.
