QOTD: When was the last time you finished a tube of lipstick?

Lipstick has been top of mind for me from a beauty perspective since starting my 50-Day Challenge. It has made me think that it's been years since I've finished a tube of lipstick. Taking a look at my collection, the one lipstick that is even close to the bottom is Viva Glam VI from MAC. The rest are almost new looking - and barely used. So a quick question for you, when was the last time you finished a tube of lipstick and what colour was it?

CHERRIES IN SYRUP said...: Oh my God!!!! That is hard to admit but I don't remember having finished any lipstick tube, it was probably when I was very little and didn't have many options to choose from :o

Lucy said...: I've finished 2 tubes of lipstick in my lifetime. They were both the same shade from Revlon. This was a looong time ago. It was a shade that was better than your lips color. I love lipstick and have about 150 or maybe more. I'm just guessing. I just came across your website. The title grabbed me. I've been looking for a blog just about lipstick, gloss, etc. I love reading and looking at lipstick.; 10/1/10

Computergirl said...: Ooo tough question. I try to finish thm off, but sometimes it harder than it seems!! I use a lip brush to poke out th lst bits, but sometimes the lippies go off before I have used it up :( I try to recycle as much as possible.... I wish more companies accepted packaging back. x; 10/1/10
Catherine said...: I've also never finished up a lipstick... BUT - I only started wearing lipstick in Nov. of 2008, so I haven't been wearing lipstick for that long of a time yet. There are a few that I've used 40-50% of... but I've also done a good amount of lipstick swapping... so while I think LM Baked Earth will likely be the first one I finish in the next few months or so, I don't actually remember how full it was to begin with!

I also have to admit I have this horribly silly little tick where the closer I get to using something up the more I ignore it because I don't want to use it up all the way. I bet if I didn't force myself I'd have 30% left lippies all over the place LOL. I'm totally this way with my body lotions and non-essential skincare. It's one of my New Year's resolutions to use up more stuff though, and this was exactly what I was talking about!

I'll definitely let you know when I finish my first lipstick. Such a milestone LOL.; 10/1/10

Stefanie said...: I'm pretty sure the last lippie I finished was Mac Slimshine in Pink D'Lush (which was awful and it was the only time i was thankful that a slimshine disappeared so quickly!)
I finish lipsticks off pretty regularly, but I wear them every day and I'm a serial re-applier ;); 10/1/10

the only time ive used a lip product is bourjois 3d effect in fraise 'something' (the one vikky beckham wears lol) as its so moisturising but chic at the same time =D xx
