Be My Guest! Guest blog review on Kiss Me Mascara!
Ladies, here is a guest post from friend and very first follower: Linda!
Mascara is one of those things that I don’t leave the house without! Like lipstick is for Michelle – mascara makes me feel great and helps me look alive! But NOTHING is worse than looking in the mirror two hours later and your mascara has smudged all under your eyes. It makes your already existent bags look like you haven’t slept in four days! (This is a reoccurring problem for me because I’m always rubbing my eyes trying to wake up until about noon).
Recently, I had the opportunity to try Kiss Me Mascara. At first I was confused by its slogan “Stop painting your lashes . . . Tube them”. After trying this mascara, I was shocked that “tubing” your lashes hasn’t become the norm. First, the mascara leaves your lashes without clumps and looking super long. It’s very easy to apply and just feels better from the beginning – lighter and cleaner. And then, two hours later when looking in the mirror – NO black smudges. Sometime there’s a little bit of black “tubes” on your cheek but it’s simple to wipe off! NO black smudges; it’s a dream!Side note: Thanks Michelle for letting me post a review on Lipstickrules.com! From being your first follower to watching your blog grow tremendously, it’s been an absolute privilege.

I've been wanting to try this for such a long time! I have a big problem with smudges and Covergirl Lash Blast is the only thing I use now because it is the only mascara I've tried that doesn't leave smudges. It's a little bit hard to remove sometimes though. Tubing mascaras are awesome. I really liked Imju Fiberwig. Washing it off was a breeze. Just a little warm water and rub your eyes and bam! I'm actually going to order this now. lol

Hm, I've never tried this one, but my favorite is the Kiss Me Heroine Long & Curl (Kiss Me being a Japanese drugstore brand, no relation to your Blinc Kiss Me at all). It's not a tubing mascara but it's a fiber one and it lengthens fantastically without any smudging at all and it holds an incredible curl. I used to use the Shiseido mascara base underneath Maybelline Full'n'Soft Waterproof and still had raccoon eyes and drooping curl by 5pm so I think that gives a pretty good picture of how stubborn and oily my lashes are. Kiss Me Heroine is the only mascara that really stays put and does everything I want it to. It doesn't thicken very well (there's a Volume & Curl version for that) but I am pretty blessed with full lashes so it's not a huge concern of mine. It's a little difficult to remove using regular means (Mandom, Yes to Carrots, any vegetable oil in my arsenal), but it comes off very nicely with the green L'oreal makeup remover. And it's around $10-16 depending on where you get it, which is about the same or cheaper than the ones available at Sephora.

What a great review! Linda did a great job.
I use L'oreal's Voluminous Mascara. I love it! I'd like to try out the Kiss Me Mascara. I can't believe that it just rinses off! My mascara and bronzer are the toughest things for me to remove! It'd be nice not to have to put so much elbow grease into my make-up removing routine!

Ooh I have a mascara just like this! Its L'oreal 'beauty tubes'. I love the tubing mascaras for heavy duty use, lol, I find they last much longer and I love how easy they are to take off!

I adore tubing mascara, I too, have the Loreal Beauty Tubes and it's amazing!

My favourite mascara is Dior Diorshow iconic! Never tried the tubing mascara :/

I've never tried this! My fave is maybelline pulse perfection

I've always wanted to try a tubing mascara, it just seems like such a weird idea! My favourite mascara is Lancomes Oscillation.

My favourite mascara is L'Oréal Lash Architect in "Midnight Black". It holds a curl (despite not being waterproof) and adds both volume and length. And it doesn't smudge much – even at the end of the day.
I used to use Blinc mascara.. I was loyal to it for at least 4 years! The tubing is great because it is 100% smudgeproof. But I realised after all that time that it didn't give my short, straight lashes enough oomph..

i heard about the drugstore brand that did a mascara like this. they look so cool when you remove the tubes from the lashes. i dont think i can get this in the US so ill probably try the L'Oreal brand

This is my favourite mascara! A friend turned me on to it and now I'm addicted. Even my hubby thinks the tube technology is amazing!

Thanks for all the great comments on my guest blog post. It's great to hear what others are using and I look forward to trying all your suggestions! I didn't know L'Oreal had a tubing line and will definitely try that one out next

I think I am going to have to try this!
I have pretty much given up on curling mascaras and even eyelash curlers because my lashes are so short and poker straight that they refuse to curl… so I go for as much length as I can get. Right now I'm using Avon Astonishing Lengths mascara and it seems to do the trick.

Good to see feedback on "tube" mascara. I am a new reader and love this site. LOVE it.
I have long lashes but they are poker straight. The best lash curlers are Shu Umera and Shiseido. Always ensure the pad isn't old. Can get new ones easily at same counter. The best mascaras for holding the curl (hate it when I have curled my lashes and apply mascara only to see them slowly start drooping and straightening)have been Cover Girl Marathon Mascara(discont. in Canada, I have been stashing when on vac in US) and Cover Girl Multiplying Waterproof…also discont. Lancome Definicil waterproof is pretty good but it galls me to spend $$$ when the Cover Girl was actually better! MAC Splash lash is excellent, here's hoping they don't discontinue. I have tried Dior Diorshow(my daughter in law uses: yes I am prob oldest reader on here!)but I find it gives me the old raccoon eyes.
Great to find this blog…..
