I received one of those promotional emails from MAC last week that listed products in their "Good-bye" section, which are items being discontinued. Among the list this time round were a number of Slimshine lipsticks. This reminded me that I have a few of these in my collection but I barely use. I don't really know why I don't -- they are a lovely formulation - creamy, highly pigmented and feel moisturizing. Today I am wearing Scant, which is a rosey pink colour that I think is flattering on my skin tone. Gives me a bit of colour without being over the top loud for a day look. Swatch below.
Among the Slimshines I own, Scant and Bare (a nude) are my favorites. I have a few brighter colours that are great for summer but not sure I would wear right now in the deep freeze of January. Have you tried Slimshines from MAC?

I have Bare, Urgent and Ardor from the slimshines. Bare is a nude pink shade, Urgent is a mid-tone red and Ardor is a soft orange. I really like all three of them. They have a nice texture, good pigmentation, and pretty finish.
I think my sister has this colour, and if I am right, it is a beautiful shade! I have funshine, a peachy coral shade which is really pretty. The thing about slimshines I don't like is their lasting power, and for some reason the 2 slimshines in the house have fails in the packaging - they don't go back downwards =/
I received the email too, I wonder if there are new slimshines in the works? I hope so!

Ooh, this is really pretty! And you know what? Despite having heard very nice things about MAC's slimshines I somehow always overlook them. Might have to go and specifically swatch a few in the near future. =)

scant looks nice, I think I gave that as a gift to somebody once. pink d'lush is my fave slimshine ever, it's amazing.

mac lippies are always soo pigmented (for the most part ;)... i hate that im allergic to them *ugh!

I have never tried a slimshine but Im tempted too now! that colour looks os lovely on you! I want a pinky nude now!
I've got Bare Slimshine, it's such a great nude colour! I also have Assertive. Did you ever get anything from the Mattene collections they had out? They're like slimshines, except totally matte. I've got Rapturous which is a gorgeous red, as well as Immodest - a bright pink. I love them both!
