After watching Enkore's seminar on makeup brushes at IMATS Toronto, I decided to call it a day and started to bid farewell to my fellow beauty bloggers. During some excited exchanges about what we picked up at the show, Farah (who is one of my main 'enabler' lately!) showed me the lipglosses she picked up from Face Atelier. I had visited the booth earlier in the morning but didn't see the glosses so I decided to go back for "one last look." We know what this means, right?!
Of course, this visit resulted in what I like to call my 'I'm-about-to-leave-IMATS-and-might-regret-not-buying-these-glosses' purchase. I ended up with Primrose, Peach and Cameo. Normally priced at $20, these glosses were 3 for $30 at IMATS. I did admit to having a bit of buyer's remorse at first as I had just blown money on pigments and brushes. Did I really need three more lipgloss?
I would say the answer is a resounding YES! These glosses are amazing -- one of my favorite kinds to date! I tried Cameo on during the train ride home and it was instant love. These are non-sticky (!), feel super smooth on the lips and deliver a high impact shine. Primrose is a 'my lips but better' pinky rose colour, Cameo is an amazing nude that would work on a variety of skintones and Peach is well, peach but with shimmer that again that would work wonders for warm-toned girls. These are fantastic on their own, or paired with lipstick.
After I got home, I looked up Face Atelier online to learn more about the company and what I read is pretty cool. It's a Canadian brand (hooray Canada!) that was started by Debbie Bondar (who we met at the show). The company markets itself as 'makeup that simply works. And works simply.' The company is against animal testing and doesn't add scents or flavours to its products. I'm intrigued to try more products from the company, especially its foundation which I regret not picking up at IMATS. Enkore actually raved about the foundation when we chatted with him after his seminar.

Face Atelier products are available on its web site and sold internationally. I suggest visiting the company's Web site for more information on where to get in your country.
Anyone else try this brand? Let me know and also let me know what you think of this lipgloss mini-series!

Oooh very pigmented! I wished I looked into this brand more at IMATS!
Michelle, you officially have me lemming a lipgloss. Peach looks soooooooo pretty!! O_O;
hey this is awesome stuff. thanks for sharing it with us :)
Omg, I need those!!
I had a sample of the foundation, and I completely loved it. Very similar to GA LSF, but for a much more reasonable price - and it was a better shade match for me (in GA I'm somewhere between a 2 and a 4, which you would think make me a 3, but that's completely the wrong tone for me.)
The eyeshadows are pretty fabulous too. I absolutely loved her blog/column on the site, but that doesn't appear to have been updated in a while.
i'm sad that i didn't get them. but i went brush crazy that day..
LOL it looks like I really am an enabler eh lol.. but im not sorry cuz i heart these glosses too... I got the 3 colors you have as well as shiraz so Im going to be doing a post on them soon too :)
Glad you likes!
I bought the Primrose shade, gorgeous eh?! I wish I had tried the foundations as well. But I have so many in my rotation that I have to wait a few more months:)
Nice review. I love those colors.

Oh I wish I checked out the lip glosses. These look so yummy!
omg I love the way cameo looks :D The brand sounds pretty interesting but as usual its hard 2 find in the UK and am sure the postage from the website will cost a bomb :(
@Shifa: Cameo is gorgeous. I think there are locations in Europe where this is sold. Check out their Web site :-)
i've tried these and i like them. however, they have a lot of slip. i only tested it so i don't know how long lasting they are, but for this reason i like sticky glosses lol ;)
Somehow I missed these at IMATS too!!! Now that I know more about the company, I might try out their foundation soon, I'm very tempted...
