Rediscovered: Palladio Rice Powder

I've been using Palladio's Rice Powder to set my foundation regularly since I was sent some Palladio products to try in the summer. I really like how it finishes my makeup. It removes any unwanted shine and doesn't feel heavy or make your face look cakey. The packaging is cute -- reminds me of Benefit's powder boxes (think Coralista etc.). Here's what Palladio says on the site about this product:

"An old and traditional concept that is world-renowned and a basic staple for the professional make up artist. It absorbs excess oil, thus maintaining proper pH level to the skins mantle."

I'm not as big a fan of the Rice Paper, which you're supposed to use to blot your face during the day. It does an okay job but I prefer to use actual powder in a compact to do touch ups. This somehow felt weird and didn't seem to control oily spots that appear during the day.

The Rice Powder product is priced at $6 (US), probably slightly higher in Canada. Overall an affordable buy with great results!

I love love love the blotting papers! I'm one of those horrible beauty bloggers that is too lazy to wear foundation, so I just use the transclucent blotting paper XD You can get them at Sallys or Ulta in the US and they are usually on sale for $4 or less!

@Eugenia: See Lisa Kate's answer. I didn't actually purchase this myself but they are available at Sally's and online. I will be repurchasing when I'm done.

@Lisa Kate: thank you! I was pleasantly surprised by this product.

They carry them in Ricky's too. I was eyeing them but was a bit skeptical. I may give them a shot. Thanks for this!

Cute packaging. :)

I read recently that rice powder isn't good for your face as the skin's moisture caused the rice to swell, thus blocking the pores, which in turn could cause pimples esp. on acne-prone skin. What do you think?

this powder concept is a copycat from a traditional chinese powder ,famous in malaysia, indonesia.i remember my grandma was using this powder, but the traditional powder is in hard form, not powder, google : hoi tong powder

and you'll see the resemblance, really copycat
