FOTD from Canadian brands: Annabelle, Pink Beauty & Bellaphoria

Happy Friday everyone. In Canada, it’s our Thanksgiving weekend which means we are off work/school on Monday – hooray!! Today I thought I’d share a FOTD that features some Canadian makeup brands: Pink Beauty, Annabelle and Bellaphoria. I ventured away from my typical neutral eyes today and went purple and paired it with a bright pink lipstick.

Here’s what I used (excuse the wet hair – it was early!):

Eyes: Pink Beauty Trinket shadow (all over the lid)
Annabelle Smudgeliner in Purple Storm
Bellaphoria mineral shadow in Loyalty (outer V)

Lips: Pink Beauty Vi Vi lipstick

Cheeks: Pink Beauty Cream blush in Enchant

Foundation: Diorskin Nude (love love love this!)

Some background on one brand today I used today. Pink Beauty products are “designed to be sheer and buildable making them easy for anyone to use and great for glamour on the go!” I’ve been testing out Luscious Lipshimmer in Vi Vi (bright pink); Cream Radiance Rouge in Enchanted (very pretty peachy/pink); and Eye Splendour Shadow in Trinket (a lovely lilac; satin finish) that I was sent recently.

The packaging is – you guessed it – pink. I don’t love it but it does make it easy to spot these products among the black packaged products in my collection. As for the products themselves, I thought they were really decent. The lipstick is super moisturizing. It’s true that you can build up the intensity of the colour as you like. I like lipsticks to be super pigmented so it took a few swipes. The cream blush is really easy to blend out to the depth of colour you are comfortable with. Trinket is pretty and I like the texture but the colour to me isn’t super unique. It does applies smoothly though and lasted all day without creasing. I got a lot of compliments today on my ‘purple eyes’ ; maybe I’m just not used to venturing away from neutrals.

To avoid a super long post, and the fact I want to watch this week’s Vampire Diaries, I am going to post separate reviews on Annabelle’s Smudgeliners (thanks to Makeup Babble’s great reviews I am officially addicted to these liners); and Bellaphoria’s mineral products (which I’ve been testing out for the past month or so and am loving!).
